Guest List Privacy Policy

Guest List (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Cloudcrest Coding (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

Organizer accounts (the person who registers and runs an event):

• First and last name
• Email address
• Phone number (used as your login identifier)
• Password (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot see or recover your actual password)

Event data:

• Event name, type, date, and guest limit
• An optional flyer/invitation image you choose to upload from your device's photo gallery. The App does not use your camera to take this photo directly — you select an existing image.

Guest data (entered by the organizer, about the people they invite):

• Guest name
• A generated QR/barcode check-in code
• Check-in timestamp and admitted/not-admitted status

We do not collect guest email addresses, phone numbers, or photos.

Camera access: the App requests camera permission solely to scan QR codes at event check-in (both for organizers checking in guests, and for guests verifying their own invitation). The App does not use the camera to capture or store photos of people.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and manage your organizer account and authenticate logins
• To let you create events and build and manage guest lists
• To generate and verify QR check-in codes
• To send account-related emails, such as email verification codes, password resets, registration approval or denial notices, and decisions on date-change or guest-limit requests
• To review and approve new organizer registrations and event requests

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Guest data you enter is visible only to your own organizer account and to Cloudcrest Coding admin staff for support and moderation purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored in a SQL Server database operated by our hosting provider. Passwords are hashed and are never stored in plain text. We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, and we're continuing to strengthen the security of data as the App evolves.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Account and event data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App (Settings > Delete Account). You can also request deletion by contacting us at info@cloudcrestcoding.com.

6. Children's Privacy

Guest List is intended for use by adults organizing events and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
