A secure, multi-portal platform built for the Antigua & Barbuda Medicinal Cannabis Authority.
The Antigua & Barbuda Medicinal Cannabis Authority needed a single system to manage the entire lifecycle of its medical cannabis program — from a patient's initial evaluation request through to approval, dispensary purchases, and ongoing cultivation oversight. Cloudcrest Coding designed and built a combined web portal that brings each of these stakeholders together in one secure platform.
Rather than a single generic interface, the portal is organized around the distinct people who use it every day: patients and medical professionals submitting and reviewing evaluations, Authority regulators approving applications and issuing digital ID cards, and licensed dispensaries verifying eligibility at the point of sale.
The result is a purpose-built system that has replaced manual, paper-based processes with a streamlined digital workflow, now in active daily use across the program.
A closer look at what the portal does for each type of user.
Patients are guided step by step through their evaluation, uploading the required documentation and photo identification along the way.
Doctors review submitted evaluations and record their recommendations as part of the approval process.
Authority staff review and approve applications, and issue digital medical cannabis identification cards to approved patients.
Licensed dispensaries verify patient eligibility and record purchases against program limits at the point of sale.
Cannabis cultivation is tracked from planting through harvest, supporting the Authority's regulatory oversight of the supply chain.
Patients and staff receive email updates automatically as applications move through evaluation, approval, and renewal.
